If your diet is full of sugar, then your blood sugar and hormones are going to be all over the place. If your diet is high in rancid fats and oils (often found in processed foods), then these trans fats are going to wreak havoc around your body. If your diet is inflammatory then inflammation is going to develop in your body, and this is a huge contributor to many illnesses and diseases. When we are sick or injured there is an increased requirement for certain vitamins and minerals in order for our bodies to do their jobs. If you think about a factory that produces cars, if there isn’t enough metal, or spray paint being brought to the factory then there are only a certain number of cars that can be made before production comes to a stop. Action needs to be taken before ill health begins.
I consider every individual to be unique, what is good for the goose isn’t always good for the gander as they say. My recommendations are personalised and targeted based on your symptoms. From nutritional interventions to lifestyle programmes, I will work with you to make sure that any proposed changes are tailored to fit with you and your way of life, allowing you to tap into your own powerful healing potential.
As a nutritional therapist registered with the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Association, BANT and the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council, CNHC you can be sure you are in good hands. I follow a science-based practice that promotes individual health. I use a wide range of tools, such as testing for nutrient status, to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and to understand how these may contribute to your symptoms and health concerns.
I will never recommend nutritional therapy as a replacement for medical advice. I often work alongside medical professionals, always referring clients with ‘red flag’ signs or symptoms to their appropriate medical professional.
